The CoSRH Menopause Care Professional Certificate (MCPC)

The CoSRH MCPC equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge, clinical skills and confidence to provide high-quality menopause care.

It serves as both a standalone qualification for primary care providers and a foundation for those wishing to progress to more advanced study or lead a menopause service.

The CoSRH Menopause Care Professional Diploma (MCPD) and the British Menopause Society (BMS) Advanced Certificate in the Principles and Practice of Menopause Care (PPMC)

The CoSRH MCPD and BMS PPMC build on the foundation of the MCPC, providing advanced knowledge, clinical experience and leadership skills in menopause care.

The MCPD enables clinicians to independently assess and manage individuals referred for specialist or complex menopause care. It also equips you to manage and lead a multi-professional team delivering a menopause care service and to communicate effectively with the wider medical community.

The MCPD syllabus and curriculum have been reviewed by the BMS Medical Advisory Council and approved for BMS Menopause Specialist recognition.

The BMS Advanced Certificate (PPMC) includes both theoretical and competency-based practical components leading to formal recognition as a Menopause Specialist. It is designed for doctors, independent nurse prescribers and pharmacist independent prescribers who manage complex cases or accept external referrals in hospital, community or private healthcare settings.

Please note: the BMS Advanced Certificate is specifically intended for healthcare professionals managing complex menopause cases — approximately the 5% of patients who require specialist care.

The College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare Diploma (DCSRH)

The DCSRH is a nationally recognised qualification from the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. It is designed for doctors, nurses, midwives and other healthcare professionals who wish to deliver high-quality, patient-centred sexual and reproductive healthcare.

The diploma focuses on practical skills and current best practice in contraception, sexual health and reproductive wellbeing. It is ideal for clinicians who want to expand their confidence and capability in everyday practice.
